Remember NuttZo is natural so the oils do separate. Therefore, when you first open NuttZo, all the healthy oils will be at the bottom of the jar. Just like with all natural nut butters, after the oils separate the nut butter can be quite hard at the top. Keep pushing a butter knife down through the nut butter paste into the oils. The nut butter paste will start to combine back into the oils. Once you’ve knocked all the paste into the oils stir into a creamy butter. You must stir the oils before you refrigerate. Refrigerate lid side up once it’s opened. No need to stir again.
NuttZo’s label is on upside down not just because we think its eye-catching but also because we want it stored on its lid while sitting on the store shelves waiting for you to purchase it. The natural oils then separate to the bottom of the jar which is really the top and this makes for NO mess when you finally open it at home and stir in all that nutty goodness.
Tip: make holes in the nut butter paste with a butter knife before you start stirring and this will make it easier. Once you’ve stirred it completely then refrigerate and you will not have to stir again.

Fitness and nutrition have always been an integral part of my life. After adopting two boys from the Ukraine who were vitamin deficient, I became even more focused on preparing creative, flavorful, super-nutritious foods. NuttZo is an Omega-3 powerhouse of nutrition blended into a delectable butter. I’m honored to share it with you and your family.
Adoption was a life changing event for my husband and me. After meeting so many of the beautiful orphaned children while adopting our two sons, we founded Project Left Behind, a 501c3 non-profit organization focused on providing education and living essential to orphans. I am so pleased to announce that NuttZo is a proud supporter of Project Left Behind.

Here is a great article on storing your nut butter
Because a lot of our steps to making your yummy NuttZo is by hand, it creates an inconsistency in the chopping and grinding of NuttZo. Each jar has the same amount of the seven nuts and seeds but it may vary on chunkiness and thickness from jar to jar. Remember, it’s a jar made with love every time.
In the Peruvian 70% dark chocolate there is cocoa butter. In the colder months when the natural oils start to separate you might see more solid looking oil that is white in color because the jar got colder. The white is cocoa butter that has separated. With a little friction it will melt back into the butter.
